We HEART Volunteers!

Would you like to increase the size and credibility of your personal and professional references list?  Do you love animals, farming, or working outdoors?  Would you like to gain experience and get instruction in agriculture, animal husbandry, or basic construction?  Does the thought of helping needy families in your community appeal to you? If so, we need your energy!

Passionate volunteers are an essential element to keeping costs down and making the difference we dream of in your area.

Our wonderful Heart2Heart Volunteers:

~ensure animals get quality care, attention, and room to roam.

~Tend to food crops so they can grow naturally, without having to use chemical herbicides and pesticides to control weeds and bugs.

~Help beautify the area so we can invite the children in our community to come visit, and learn the importance of nutrition in protecting our health and energy levels.

~Provide the vision and voice of the people, aligning what we do at Heart2Heart Farms with those we serve.

There is always help needed, and there is no experience necessary.
Whether you’d like to help care for the animals, tend the land, or help put up a new barn, we’d love to have you out for tea and talk more about how we can help each other help our communities.

Piglet Foster Program

Thank you! We'll be contacting you soon!

City Pigs, as we like to call them, are the cutest addition to any living environment, and these guys are PERFECT for suburban/rural backyards and/or SMALL farms, because they're MINI! Crossed between 3 small breeds (a runt  American Guinea Hog, Kune Kune, and Juliana), these guys stay smaller than most other pigs, And have a much longer life expectancy than teacup varieties!

The foster program began as a simple program to save runt piglets from being culled, but was so popular and such a wonderful approach to increase piglet health and survival, we've expanded it!

Fostering a piglet requires incredible commitment, an application, and a deposit of $100. Keep in mind, these tiny babies are newborn, and will need bottle fed every few hours for the first few days. Once your paperwork is approved, instruction is complete, and you're comfortable with the process, you'll get to pick up your foster piglet. We love to teach, and are on call for any questions or concerns you might have.

At the end of 5 weeks, you may choose to return the healthy piglet for a refund of $50, pay the remaining money (amount depends of breed/gender of piglet) to adopt, or roll your existing deposit into a new foster piglet! Contact our piglet foster coordintor below to inquire about a piglet today!

Thank You! We'll be in contact soon!

Calf Feeding

Animal Care taking

Keeping this place going and the animals happy is a big job, so we feel incredibly blessed when volunteers come to help out. We are seeking people who love animals and truly want to learn the art of animal husbandry to commit to set weekly hours...whether that is 2hrs every Monday morning or several morning or evenings  a week.

Because learning how to care for the animals takes more than just one day  of volunteering, we are primarily looking for weekly commitments for 2 months or more for this type of volunteer activity on the farm.

Thank You! We'll be in contact soon!
